FANARJYAN RUBEN VICTOR

             FANARJYAN  RUBEN  VICTOR (born in 1960,  in Yerevan), a neurosurgeon, doctor of medical sciences, professor, since 2010 he has been the  head of the department of neurosurgery of YSMU, since 2013 he has been a chief neurosurgeon of the Ministry of Healthcare of RA. since 2014 he has been the head of the University clinic  of neurosurgery and   brain 's  stroke.

From 1978 to 1984 he studied in  the department of general medicine of YSMI,  from 1984 to 1985 passed  his  clinical residency in the department of neurology and neurosurgery of YSMI. From 1985 to 1986 he passed his  clinical residency in  Moscow  Institute of Neurosurgery named after N.N. Burdenko  getting  the qualification of  a neurosurgeon, from 1986 to 1989 studied in the postgraduate studies of the same Institute.  In 1989 she defended her dissertation  on  "The clinical and physiological examination of  blood 's collateral circulation in the arterial circle of the big brain" and received a PhD.

From 1990 to 1991 he had trainings in neurosurgery  in Columbia University (New York, the USA),  In 1994 he cooperated  with Albert Ludwig University (Freiburg, Germany).

In 1999 he was a lecturer in the department of professional skills development of the  pedagogical staff of YSMU.

In 2005, 2007, 2009 had scientific cooperation with  Georgian Institute of Neurosurgery (Maiko, Georgia, the USA).

In 2010 he defended his dissertation on  "The quantitative characteristics of  cerebral blood's  circulation of  the patients with neurosurgical pathology " and became a doctor of medical sciences   and in 2011 became a professor of YSMU.

From 1986 to 1989 he was a neurosurgeon in the Institute of neurosurgery. named after N.N. Burdenko, from 1989 to 1994 he was an assistant in the department of neurology of YSMU,  from  1994 to 2002 was an associate professor in the same  department, the head of neurosurgical  course, from 2002 to 2010 the head of the neurosurgical  course of the same university.

He is a member of a  numerous   international organizations, especially: the neurosurgeons association of Armenia (1995), the international organization of the brain 's examination(1996), the presidency of the Armenian branch of the international organization of the brain 's examination(2003), the association of vascular surgeons and algologists of Russia,  the  Armenian association of interventional cardiology and endovascular radiology (2012), the committee of the postgraduate education of EANS, the professional board of  '' Surgery”. the trustees board of YSMU(2016).

From 1997 to 1998  was recognized as the man of the year (the biographical center of Cambridge,  England), in 1998 his name was included in the list of famous people of the 20th century (the biographical center of Cambridge,  England), since 1999 he has been  a honorary professor of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

In 2005 and 2010 she was awarded “The golden medal” of YSMU, in 2010 “The golden medal” named after Fridtjof Nansen,

In 2013  he received the presidential award of  RA,  in 2016 was the best doctor of the year.

The author of 150 scientific works and a monograph.
